It's over, for now.

Congratulations for those who have passed the exams! Now you can hang your diploma on the wall and enjoy the summer. If not (like me xD), I wish you good luck in September!

See you around.

The "Goodbye" Party

Hi all!!

Last night we spent a great time together!! It was a delicious dinner with the best company. (Thank you very much Juan to spend your valuable time with us! :P )

Classes over, and now it's time to study and try our best in the use of English! xD

Good luck to everybody, see you in the exam!

Do you remember the song? xD

We feel so strong
We strongly need things to change
We feel so in love
I will never forget...

Ah ah aaaah
I love when you are angry
Ah ah aaaah
I love so much when you tell off this world
and say that's enough

Some pics to laugh! :)

Topics

Hi all, here you have a list of topics I've been collecting for the last months. The idea is simple: choose 2 topics and write a glossary about them. We will share the glossaries ASAP, maybe next Tuesday May 19.

Theatre at EOI

Today we have enjoyed an extraordinary (and surreal) play at EOI. The most famous Scotsman and a great bagpipe player, Alan, told us a story set in Lanestale (or something like that xD) about a Russian flying cow, a mean gravedigger, a disgusting butcher and a lot of crazy characters.

We had a lot of fun, because we were the actors (very good indeed xD) and everyone played a role wearing some funny hats. We should do more of this often!

So, we spent almost one hour laughing, learning English and clapping. :D

Juan took some pics during the play, you can download. Altough they are in high resolution, you can't see them very well because of my camera, it's not very good .Or maybe the photographer had shaky hands. (hehe, sorry Juan, I just was kidding).

Enjoy this looooong weekend! (And don't forget to prepare the environment speech!!)

Cooking Contest

Hi all!

This year hasn't been an exception and the Cooking Contest woke up the cook hidden inside me. You all know English cooking isn't among the best in the world, but there are some really fine sweet recipes.

Carrot cakes are commonly found in the UK and I tried to cook one some years ago. Now I've improved the recipe with some secret ingredients (muahahaha - devil laugh) and added a few aesthetic details in order to impress the jury.

Karaoke Party!

Hiya guys!! Long time without an update!

All of you know that last week was "Cultural Week". There were many activities like Trivial, Cooking contest, karaoke...

In fact, the karaoke contest was organized by our teacher, who encouraged us to join!

There were many people cheering, singing and even dancing!

Jose and I sang " Pretty Woman" , perfectly performed (That's not true xD), but we got (some) claps!! I have to say we had many supporters like Uge, Manolo, Ricardo and our number 1 fan, Juan. :D

I have to admit that I felt a little bit embarrased in that moment, but in the end I enjoyed like a child!

Well, I would like to share some photos... you missed a big time!

PS: We are avalaible for BBC (Bodas Bautizos Comuniones) xD
PS: Luis, I can't wait to see your carrot cake photos!

Sample exams

February is coming and the following dates have been set for the sample exams:
  • Tuesday 3 february: Reading (1h 30') & Listening (45')
  • Thursday 5 february: Writing (1h 30')
  • Tuesday 10 february onwards: Speaking

Basics of Speaking exam. We have to choose a partner due to the exam being a conversation rather than a speech. There will be a list of pairs and a date/time slot will be assigned to each pair. The exams might take 2 days (10 & 12 feb) and each pair will talk for around 10 minutes. The topics to talk about will be chosen randomly from many flash cards over a table right at the beginning.

Good luck!
